We are so excited about this year!
The Lapwings will be exploring all kinds of exciting things across the year and our first topic is Raging Rivers, to tie in with this, we will be finding out about solids, liquids and gases in Science.
To help children with the increasing level of required times tables knowledge when they get to Year 4, please make sure your child is accessing TT rock stars.
Furthermore, please make sure your child is reading at home and completing their learning log to earn merits.
PE this half term is on a Monday afternoon with Mr Venus and we will be doing football. We will also be doing dance on Thursday mornings with Rachael Stamper.
In Year 3, we are also very lucky and are given the chance to learn ukulele, as a class, each Thursday afternoon. We are also given the opportunity to showcase our talents by performing at the Metrodome at the end of the year, alongside other schools.
Homework
The children will be given a homework to complete at the beginning of every new topic. Homework will be based on our topic but children will be able to complete it by producing anything from a Minecraft model to a poster or book. They also need to make sure that they fill out their learning logs and practice their times tables and spellings daily. Learning logs will be checked each Friday. If you read every day each week, you will get a merit! If we can help you or your child in any way please do let us know!
